Suicide Prevention Training -- QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer)

This education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know. QPR training is like CPR for mental health. This training is for everyone ages 15+, including parents, friends, co-workers, teachers, counselors, and medical professionals. After completing QPR training you will be able to:
Recognize the warning signs of suicide
Know how to offer hope
Know how to get help

Facilitated by Da'Shonte J. Riley, Program Coordinator - C.O.A.C.H., National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence – GDA. The C.O.A.C.H. Program is a sports intervention initiative that provides male youth between the ages of 11-14 years in the Greater Wayne County area with substance use prevention education, as well mental health support/reinforcement, and we use basketball skill development & competitive play to facilitate that education.
