Harlingen Arroyo Trail Maintenance and Race Course Prep

Everyone,

We are two weeks away from the race! I am scheduling a light trail maintenance day next Sunday, 10/5/25, from 7:30-10:30am.

Here is a breakdown of areas to work on:

Recluse:
Lopping with some branches poking out

Six Shooter Junction:
Lopping with a few branches; downhill exit will need mowing or some weedeating

Six Shooter Deluxe:
Some raking, middle section will need some mowing or weedeating

Kimbriel Climb:
Some weedeating and top part to CB Wood will need weedeating as well

Dragon’s Back:
Some weedeating or mowing

The Thicket:
Several parts need raking, lopping for a few pokers and branches

Henry Roberts Loop:
Some raking and lopping

Trails are in great condition and thanks to those who have been maintaining them throughout the summer!

I’ll have raked, loppers and few weedeaters with me next Sunday. Meet at Arroyo Park then you can head out to your section by bike or hike.
