Discovering Local History and Family Roots

Join curator Beth Wemigwase for an engaging program on how to conduct local historical and genealogical research. We’ll explore the tools, resources, and archives available in our area that can help uncover stories of the past and trace family connections including: Ancestry.com, FindAGrave.com, Greenwood Cemetery's Newspaper Database, the Library of Congress Sanborn Maps and more.

This class style presentation takes place on the second floor of the Harbor Springs History Museum. We will have tables set up and guests are encouraged to bring their laptops or note taking materials. Advanced registration is requested; the program costs $15 per person.
