The Hannibal Arts Council will host 2 fused glass workshops, for youth grades K-5, with local artist Vilma Holt on Saturday, April 11 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S Main St. The workshops will run from 10:00 am - 11:00 am and 12:00pm – 1:00pm .
The workshops will include all supplies for completing a beautiful and functional garden stake. Participants will create their piece over the course of a 1-hour instructed course. All finished pieces will be ready for pick up the following week at the Arts Council.
Vilma Holt of Hannibal, Missouri, is a fused glass artist known for her vibrant, kiln-fired creations. A frequent exhibitor at the Hannibal Arts Council and vendor at the Hannibal Folklife Festival, her work is also available at the Mark Twain Book and Gift Shop. Holt’s distinctive glass art brings color and craftsmanship to both functional and decorative pieces. Along with her husband Steve, Vilma is the co-owner of Expressions in Stained Glass & Wood.
