Just get a 3D printer for Christmas or thinking about getting one and want to actually know what to do with it. This class is for you. Introduction to 3D Printing is a beginner friendly session for ages 12 and up, adults included, where you will learn how to go from idea to finished printed object with confidence.
We will walk through what 3D printing is, how it works in the real world, and how to get great results without feeling overwhelmed. You will learn where to find reliable models online, how to prepare them in slicing software, and how to successfully print on the 3D printers at 757 Makerspace. We will also look at basic finishing techniques so your prints look clean and professional.
This class is perfect if you just unboxed a new printer, have one still sitting in the box, or you are curious and want to try before you buy. No experience needed and questions are very welcome.
