Stories of Heritage, Home, and Hammonton
A special Hispanic Heritage Month panel moderated by Jim Bacon
Weβre kicking off our fall programming with a powerful panel discussion featuring three incredible women who will share their personal journeys of immigration, identity, and belonging in Hammonton. The event will be moderated by Jim Bacon, Vice President at TD Bank, poet, and community advocate.
Please note the special date and location β weβre meeting on Wednesday instead of our usual Thursday, and gathering at the Hammonton Family Success Center in Downtown Hammonton.
Meet the Panelists:
Corina Mendoza β Born in Mexico and raised in South Jersey, Corina is a dental hygienist, real estate professional, and longtime community volunteer.
Kelin Jimenez β Originally from Honduras, Kelin is a social impact marketer and consultant dedicated to local initiatives in education, public health, and small business.
Laly Acosta β A proud Peruvian immigrant, Laly is the owner of Downtown Peru restaurant, where she shares her culture and love of cooking with the community.
This event is part of the Historical Societyβs monthly speaker series and a chance to hear firsthand stories that reflect the diversity, resilience, and richness of our town.
All are welcome β come be part of the conversation!
