Trunk or Tree - Community Tree Planting

Join the Student Conservation Association and City of Hammond for a meaningful day of tree planting at Dowling Park in Hammond! This event is a fantastic opportunity to give back to your community while helping to improve the local environment by increasing the city’s tree canopy. Come ready to get your hands dirty, make a difference, and have fun while doing it. Every tree planted is a step toward a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant community.

Attendees are encourgaed to wear their old costumes and join us in the festivities! We will have a seedball creation station, crafts and trees to plant! This event is perfect for families with children!

Plant a tree and collect some sweet treats!

We will provide:

• Tools
• Refreshments
• Trees
• Activities for children of all ages

You will need to bring comfortable clothes to work in, a good pair of closed toed shoes, a good attitude and a friend! We will handle the rest!
