ANIMA: A Haunting Humans Exhibit
Presented by The Art Table
π
Saturday, October 18th | 6:00 β 10:00 PM
π Burns Funeral Home, Hammond, Indiana
This fall, Haunting Humans presents its next exhibit: Anima β an exploration of the human spirit, memory, and the echoes that linger between life and death.
For one night only, the historic Burns Funeral Home, a Hammond landmark with over a century of history, opens its doors as both host and subject. One of the cityβs longest-running family businesses, its walls hold countless stories, memories, and generations of continuity. On this night, it will become more than a funeral home β it will transform into a space for reflection, creativity, and shared humanity.
Over the last six weeks, 20 artists from across Northwest Indiana have immersed themselves in their ancestors, shadows, and the things that still haunt them. Through painting, photography, writing, and performance, theyβve created works that ask what it truly means to be human.
β¨ At 8:00 p.m., the evening will feature the premiere of our collaboratively created short horror film β a centerpiece born from the workshopβs collective vision.
πΈ Photographers interested in documenting this exhibit are welcome, but must contact us in advance at

This is not just an exhibit.
It is an experience β rooted in history, memory, and spirit.
