As the calendar fades quietly from September to October, the
last of the sweet corn will boil in the kettle and the Great
Spoo intends to meander down from Michigan to be amongst us!!! And on Saturday, October 4th, 2PM, Paul Henry's Art Gallery will roll out the checkered carpet for the 14th Spoo Willoughby Hoe Down and Corn Boil, a show for the ages!
Spoo Willoughby has been a prime performer at Paul Henry's Art Gallery since we began our Acoustic Jams back in 2010, always dynamic and crowd pleasing, presenting his original material and covers with fervor and flair. Foot-stomping polkas follow mind
bending fantasies that follow explorations of sleep robbing
nightmares that follow perspectives on historical events that
follow tender love ballads that follow not so tender love
ballads that follow commentary on food, literature, cinema
and life in a rain forest. All this from a musician who is
equally at home on a banjo, electric or acoustic guitar. And
nobody, but nobody, tunes a guitar like Spoo!
So hide the children, bury the silver, break out your best
bib overalls (or at least a good butter-catching bib) and
join us for another episode of the most unique concert
event on anyone's calendar in any year anywhere! SPOO will lead the way this year for a show lineup that includes players from three states: RICH KRUEGER, MIKE OWENS, OLIVER STECK, MARK ANDERSON, CASSIE FOLEY, ARISTOTLE GALANOS, BRIT OWENS, NIKO VERNON, LAURA MATHEWS, TRAVIS JAMES, HALEY LERAND AND DAVE TOENNIES.
