Our Wongaburra instructor team will be led by Christine
Corbidge and Justin Corbidge and assisted by Tori Banta NZ.
We are sad that our colleague Maurice Thibault is unable to lead the courses this year due to ongoing health concerns, but our team's ability to 'adjust to fit the situation' means we do not have to disappoint those who have already booked in. We have contracted another experienced colleague, Tori Banta from NZ, who will step in to support Chris as lead instructor.
Chris has 30+ years of teaching horsemanship, and has done so in 4 countries, leading many short and long courses, including a 4 week 'future horse professional's' course in Colorado USA with a team of 5 trainee instructors under her care, as well as 35 students hopeful of entering an internationally recognised professional's program. She has long had an interest in mentoring other instructors as well as collaborating with colleagues of similar levels of teaching experience like our friend Maurice. The 'variety' of the instructors who have been invited to lead at Wongaburra over the last 20 years of Supercamps gives 'spice' to student's learning, but the consistency of our background training and experience means we are able to step confidently into any absence caused by unexpected circumstances like we will do this year.
Chris met Tori Banta in the USA in 2010, as she was entering the same professional's program Chris was a senior instructor for, and have kept in touch over the years following.
Tori apprenticed with Pat and Linda Parelli in the USA, at both Colorado and Florida campuses, travelling on the 'tour team' and graduated as a professional in 2011, the youngest to do so to date. She built a teaching and training business in NZ from then until now.
Her personal horsemanship interests are in the English disciplines, particularly dressage. She enjoys bridging the gap for students between foundational horsemanship and the topic of 'contact' for engaged, 'collected' riding activities.
Tori was engaged as assistant to Lauren Barwick CAN a 3 x paralympian, who won gold in Beijing, and who also studied and graduated the horsemanship and professional's program through the Parelli's. Tori travelled with Lauren's horses between Canada and the USA, groomed for her at national and international level shows in the USA and also at the London paralympic games, where she met Ashley Gownlock another paralympian, who invited her to travel from Canada to Rio for the 2016 paralympic games.
Chris and Tori have both resigned their licenses with Parelli, but both continue to teach foundational horsemanship, and are grateful for the training they received, and most of all for the people they met through the Parelli program.
We are all so keen to work together and give the students who sign up this year an amazing, insightful, intensive learning experience during the camps in 2025, as we always do! Our 'return' students (serial supercampers) tell us they keep coming back for more because it is the highlight of their horsemanship year.
There is still room for anyone who wants to attend both camps, or a single camp - either camp can be attended individually as they are 'stand alone' courses with a break day in between.

For those attending both camps, Wed 26 Nov is a rest day, breakfast and dinner are provided, but lunch will not. A turn out paddock is provided on rotation on the break day for those who are here for both camps.
Vegetarian or meat-eater menu provided (vegetarians need to nominate this prior to camp so we can cater accordingly) no other dietary requirements are catered for, but the ingredient list for dishes and 4 day menu is available from the cook on request. BYO special snacks/health related foods etc, a fridge is provided for student's use.

There is a limit on numbers for both camps, and these camps typically book out months in advance, so if you are keen - book now. All students pay in instalments, which can be as per our schedule provided, or a schedule that suits the individual's pay cycles etc. A $200 (non-refundable) booking deposit is required to secure a position in each camp immediately then payments begin end of March. Those booking in later than March 30 need to catch up before the next instalment date of June 30. Final instalment date is Sep 30. (We are always happy to flex where necessary of course!)

A limited number of lease horses are available for both camps, lease fee is $55 per day, payable in full in advance at time of booking a position. All equipment including saddle is provided.
