Soul Sabbath

The Life Together Office at Gordon-Conwell—Hamilton is offering a Soul Sabbath on Friday, February 20th and we invite you to join us for a day of silence, worship, and prayer especially designed to nurture your soul.

WHEN TO ARRIVE

Plan to arrive at First Congregational Church, Hamilton at 8:30 a.m. (coffee, tea and pastries will be provided upon arrival). We will gather at 9:00 a.m. as a large group for an introduction of the day and instructions on how you may use the remainder of your day. You will have your own time of silence and solitude indoors or outside, as well as group worship, a noon meal, and the option of meeting one-on-one for prayer and counsel. The Soul Sabbath will conclude at 4:00 p.m.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring:

• Bible
• Journal
• Pen
• Comfortable clothes for leisure

You are welcome to bring a devotional book, but leave behind your work (including school work!) and distractions. In the slowing, we pray you will hear God’s still, quiet voice. We are in prayer for you as you prepare for this day of Soul Sabbath.

ABOUT YOUR MEAL

Lunch will be provided for each participant. Please indicate any dietary restrictions you have when purchasing your ticket.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS

STUDENT REGISTRATION:

• $20 deposit to be refunded to student accounts for students who attend the Soul Sabbath. Students who do not attend the retreat will not receive a refund.

STAFF/FACULTY REGISTRATION:

• $10 discounted registration is non-refundable after the registration deadline on Saturday, February 14th.

Cancellations are eligible for a full refund if made prior to Saturday, February 14th. Any cancellations made after Saturday February 14th or lack of attendance at the Soul Sabbath will not be eligible to receive any refund.
