GeoFair hours at the Butler County Fairgrounds are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17. For 2026, the 61st annual GeoFair will dazzle
visitors with the show theme “Celebrating 250 years of America’s Minerals & Fossils.”
Admission to GeoFair is $12 for adults and $5 for children. (Free admission is offered to uniformed Scouts, to qualifying 4-H members, and to teachers with identification and a paid
adult companion.) A two-day adult pass is available for $18. (A coupon for $2 off adult admission may be downloaded at www.GeoFair.Com). Admission discounts for groups larger
than 10 are available. The Butler County Fairgrounds offer abundant free parking.
Family-friendly activities at this year's GeoFair will include merit badge assistance for scouts, project assistance for 4-H members, earth science games, free mineral collections (for children under 12), free fossils (for children under 12), and free identification of fossils, meteorites, minerals, and gemstones by a panel of experts.
At GeoFair, more than 40 commercial vendors from as far away as Florida and Nevada will offer stunning treasures for sale, ranging from curiosities costing mere pennies to museum-quality specimens costing thousands of dollars. Dozens of displays will highlight the rare “finds” of local collectors.
