Dilly Dally Day in NY- sightseeing and dive bar celebration

So what happens when you RSVP yes to almost every whacky hike and social event I host? You get an event built just for you! Join me in celebrating one of our long time, top RSVP YES peeps for a day in NY city....this( http://city....this) day will be a combination of some outdoor exercise while sight seeing and celebrating at some NY DIVE bars- (what do you expect from an outdoor group that camps and poops in the woods...lol( http://woods...lol)).

We will be taking the NJ Transit train from Hamilton Station to NY Penn Station as this station is easy to get to, has plenty of parking (paid) and bathrooms. I will be fine tuning the exact plan/time as it gets closer, but best estimate is train departure around 8am and return to Hamilton about 9pm.

Once in NY, we will be hitting the following places and not necessarily in this order :
1) Central Park/Strawberry Fields
2) Rudy's Bar
3) Other Half Brewing at Rockefeller
4) Jimmy's Corner
5) Times Square
6) Double Down Saloon (I think)
7) Washing Square Park
8) Little Island
9) The Vessel

Total mileage for the day is 10ish- broken up obviously due to multiple stops. Pace is "social"- not a stroll, but not our usual 3.5+
In order to build in some flexibility, there is no definitive plan for food. We may eat at one of the bars or find something that looks appealing as we are walking. It is NY, we won't go hungry....:)

This is an over 21 event and will be capped. Please do not sign up if you have a history of dropping out. And PLEASE celebrate responsibly!!

GEAR REQUIRED:  
1-      Proper footwear (comfortable shoes or sneakers)
2-      Appropriate clothing for conditions: layers, wind and rain protection based upon forecast.
3-      WATER or other source of hydration

WEATHER: Fair weather event

PARKING AND MEETING LOCATION: We will be taking the train from the Hamilton Train station (see Meetup PIN). There is a paid parking garage here in which you can use your credit card as your ticket to exit. Much easier and faster then taking a ticket. We will meet on the train platform. Bathrooms are located in the station.

GUEST and ATTENDANCE POLICY:  All attendees must be members of Outdoor Adventure Friends.  This is for communication purposes to ensure that those in attendance understand exactly what they are signing up for.  Please be courteous and change your rsvp in a timely fashion if you can no longer attend an event.  Repeated no shows or a history of signing up and dropping off excessively when there is a waitlist will exclude you from being moved off of future waitlists and special events
