Do you enjoy shopping in new places? Are you thrifty? The $15 Challenge project is for YOU!
RULES:
-Spend $15 or LESS of your own money on an outfit that covers the entire body. That means top and a bottom or a one piece (dress). It can even be a costume.
-Receipts are required; they can be handwritten if from garage sales, Facebook Marketplace, or yard sales.
-Accessories and shoes are not part of the $15
-Outfits must be purchased from garage sales, consignment stores, thrift stores, or FB marketplace. (not RETAIL stores like Walmart)
-Turn in the $15 Challenge report with receipts and a photo of you in the outfit to your school 4-H teacher/sponsor by October 31st OR you can email your 3 page challenge report and a photo of you in your completed outfit to
cmdkMDAwNyB8IGFjZXMgISBlZHU= with your Frist/Last Name, Grade, and School in the body of the email.
-1st Place Junior and Intermediate winners will advance to Regional Congress in May 2026 and Intermediate-Senior level 1st place winners will advance on to State Competitive Events Day June 26, 2026 in Columbiana, Alabama.
**There will be no County Round-Up for 2026. If Junior and Intermediate level students win these county contests they can advance to Regional Congress in May 2026 and Intermediate-Senior II level students can advance to the State Competitive Events Day Competition June 26, 2026 in Columbiana, AL.
Levels of Competition:
Junior Level I: 9 to 11 years old on December 31 of the current calendar year (compete only at local and regional levels).
Intermediate: 12 to 13 years old on December 31 of the current calendar year (compete only at local and regional levels).
Senior Level I: 14 to 15 years old on December 31 of the current calendar year.
Senior Level II: 16 to 18 years old on December 31 of the current calendar year.
