Join us in song within the peacefulness of the forest, as we connect with music rooted in deep, meaningful messages that speak to the heart and soul, touching on themes of nature, healing, letting go, hope, love, and social justice.
This rendition of the Joy of Singing will be in honor of protecting our public lands, and will focus on themes of joy and love. Our mission, through singing, is to spread words of intention to commit small acts of kindness and love. As Gandalf said, this is what will keep the darkness at bay.
with music by
MaMuse, Holly Near, Linda Hirschhorn, Rising Appalachia, and more.
We encourage all humans of all ages to join in this very special singing event!
Before the main event begins, at 3:00, we will be meeting at the Picnic Shelter, and then taking the nearby Purple Trail for a short singing hike (0.2 miles) to the Mill River!
The main event will begin at 4:00 under the covered pavilion next to the main parking lot, where you will be invited to join us in song, strengthening our community and resisting the injustices happening in our country.
In addition to singing all together, we are excited to also share with you some special performances by The Joy of Singing a cappella ensemble.
We hope you will join us and let our voices be heard!
