Jolt TOW Spring League
Details
When: Starting Wednesday 8th October 2025
Where: Jolt Games, 56 Hoskins Street Mitchell, ACT 2911
Payment details: $35 on sign up for the whole 11 week event
What: 1000pts to start The Old World (TOW) up to 2000pts at the end
Time: 18:30 arrival
Player cap: We have room for 24 players
Sports: Being a good sport is an expectation of the league. Anyone found to be toxic or otherwise be found to display poor form will be removed from the league with no refunds.
Army lists: Lists will not be taken for the event just make sure that they are correct and you have a copy available for your opponent. It is the responsibility of the player to make sure that their list is legal, if it is found to be otherwise there may be a points deduction.
Scoring: Game scoring and pairing will be done using the Best Coast Pairing app. I recommend downloading and registering to the event through the app before the day (to rego just search the event in the app). This will allow players to enter their own results and save cutting down a tree for paper.
Pairings: Pairings will be random week 1, then people will be matched using a swiss pairing system with wiggle room to get people games based on player availability.
Games will start at 1000pts HOWEVER if two people who are paired together want to play a different listed points size, they are more than welcome as long as both players agree. For players that want to play larger games please also bring a list for the points size of the week.
Prizes: There will be prizes for the following:
Best Painted \ Painter: points will be awarded at each fortnight for painting progress (1pt for fully painted, +1 point if there is new model/s painted for that points level during the event)
Best General: player with the most points from battles
Best Overall: player with the highest overall ranking across the three above.
Game related things
Army comp: There will be army restrictions for this event, and I would urge all players to be mindful of playing to the spirit of the event in which we want to build and grow a community of people.
Army construction:
The restrictions will be those listed in the Matched Play guide for Grand Melee and Combined Arms
All Army lists are to be drawn from Ravening Hordes, Forces of Fantasy, Arcane Journals and Legacy Lists including the Legacy Renegade lists
Wood Elf forests will count as difficult terrain and should be no bigger than 12X10 inches and will count as a solid footprint (no channels or cut outs).

All latest FAQs and Errata from GW will be in use, including any updates made during the event
All missions should be rolled before the game.

Scoring:
Every game will be scored as 3 points for a win, 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss. A draw will occur if there is a difference in VP less than 10% of the game size (ie 200 points in a 2k game). Victory points scored will be used as a tiebreaker in case of an unclear leaderboard at the end of the league.
For scenarios the Event will be from the Matched Play Guide, with a single Secondary Objective set each week. The Scenario and the Secondary will be announced at the start of the round. The weekly schedule is listed in the players pack.
