Imagining a Spryfield Alternative Learning Space 🛠️🎨
I'm thrilled to share that we're running a research project to help us understand what a Spryfield Alternative Learning Space could look like.
The North End has fantastic spaces like Wonder'neath and the Tool Library that serve as great examples of community-led creative spaces. I believe a learning/maker space tailored to our own community could take form right here in Spryfield.
Through my work with LifeSchoolHouse, ’ve seen firsthand that our community is not only craving a space like this but is ready to build it together. With funding from CLARI and support from NSCAD, I’m facilitating this research to see what offerings would best serve us and how we can build it sustainably.
Community Consultation Sessions (at Captain William Spry Library, Room #3):
- Friday, February 6th, 6 - 8 pm
- Sunday, February 8th, 6 - 8 pm
Creative Sessions:

- Sunday, March 29th, 2 - 4 pm
These sessions are free to attend, and children accompanied by a guardian are welcome. Snacks and bus tickets will be available on site.
