Jim Henman is part of Canadian music royalty; he is a Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame member, a Canadian Walk of Fame member, a Juno award winner, and Co-founder of April Wine.
Over his long and respected career, Jim has performed and collaborated with many well-known artists. He performed and toured in the Myles Goodwyn Trio/Quartet from 2017 until Myles’ passing in December 2024. He was part of a Songwriter's Trio with Lisa Richard and Dave Carroll and also with Steve Gaetz and Bruce Dixon (also part of the Myles Goodwyn Trio/Quartet). Jim has released two solo albums, Same Old Feeling and House Plants. Jim also co-wrote and nationally released to radio the songs "Some Of These Children" and "Ring The Bells” with Myles Goodwyn. Jim has co-written songs with a long list of well-known artists: Laura Smith, Terry Kelly, Dee Dee Austin, Tom Bedell, Lisa Richard, Joel Placket, Myles Goodwyn, and many more. In addition to songwriter collaboration, Jim also co-wrote the music for Neptune Theatre's Death the Musical.
Robert Campbell is a pianist, singer-songwriter, and passionate champion of songwriters. Trained in piano and organ from childhood and with a background in jazz, Robert has performed across Canada and Europe. Since 2015, he has toured and recorded with the award-winning duo Campbell + Green. Throughout his career, he has performed and collaborated with many artists. Robert brings his love of music to the community as host of Songwriters From Here And Away, a radio show and creative hub celebrating songwriters near and far.
Richard & Somebody's Kids will warm the room with their fun and playful rockin' roots. Richard's unique storytelling and insight to human nature comes from decades of training boxers. Richard's command of the stage toes the line between old school fighter and insightful music poet. With a wry sense of humour, he playfully banters with his bandmates and somehow always manages to pull ringside fans into his corner.
East Coast Amateur Boxing Club is an old school boxing club in Rockingham where the ring is the stage! This is Halifax's most unique and intimate live music venue located at 225 Bedford Highway.
