Gus Hatchday Celebrations!
Join us in celebrating 103 years of Gus!

Gus the Gopher Tortoise has called the Museum home for many years. Each August, we celebrate his hatchday (aka birthday). In 2025, we're celebrating his 103rd hatchday!

Updated party details (updated July 7):

Morning celebrations begin at 10am with crafts, photo opportunities, and scavenger hunts.
11am official singing of happy hatchday to Gus and the start of his morning walk!
Cupcakes and lemonade available to visitors.

Afternoon celebrations begin at 2pm with crafts, photo opportunities, and scavenger hunts.
2pm official singing of happy hatchday to Gus and the start of his afternoon walk!
Cupcakes and lemonade available to visitors.
