People are coming and going from our lives. Some people are special; they can bring you desire, inspire you, and awaken a spark in you. Sometimes the words are less representative of our feelings. An artwork, such as a musical piece, a painting, or a poem, may resonate more beautifully with the spark that can only be felt deeply and internally. To express that, I can imagine singing "Be My Love", which is the title piece of this recital. "Be My Love" is not just a song; it is a message coming from the spark that makes your chest heavy with its weight and burns your heart with its flame, as the lyric delicately depicts the scene, and the melody has both the warmth and nuances of the flame.
Tenor Koosha Khorramian and Pianist Tara Scott will perform diverse works from Puccini, Bizet, Donizetti, Offenbach, Massenet, Giordano, Brodszky, Bernstein, Fauré, de Curtis, and more. The program has four distinct parts: Imagination Arc, Poet Arc, Painter Arc, and Simple Arc.
