This year’s theme, “Healthy Parent, Healthy Baby – Tiny Moments Make a Big Difference,” celebrates how everyday interactions – cuddling, singing, smiling, and talking – help babies feel safe, loved, and ready to learn. At the same time, Baby Week recognises the importance of parents’ wellbeing, highlighting that when parents are supported and healthy, babies thrive.
Our practitioner and volunteer event will shine a light on the small things that make a big difference, with inspiring guest speakers and interactive sessions.
Refreshments available from 8:30am.
Please note, this event is specifically only for those working or volunteering in Calderdale
Clare brings over 30 years of experience in teaching and educational research. She is passionate about enriching children’s lives through creative learning and will share her expertise on how we can help children reach their full potential and thrive. Clare will explore how the foundations of a child’s future are built during the first 1,001 days of life. She will share insights into how early parent–baby interactions shape a child’s development, influencing every aspect of their future learning, wellbeing, and relationships.
“Why We Need to Sing to Babies”
Singing isn’t just fun – it’s one of the most powerful ways to support babies’ early development. From soothing lullabies to playful rhymes, songs build communication, strengthen bonds, and boost brain development. Kelly and Fran will lead an interactive song and rhyme session, exploring how tiny musical moments create lasting impact for babies and families.
Becca will share the impact this exciting project is having on families across Calderdale – and why it’s never too late to join in.
Discover the vital work supporting families from the very start. The team will share how we can all work together to keep families’ wellbeing at the heart, and the small things that make the biggest difference.
