Swoveland Nature Preserve W**d Wrangle

Join WIPER (Wayne County Invasive Plant Education & Removal) at Swoveland Nature Preserve, a Red Tail Property, for an educational volunteer event on invasive plant species. Volunteers will learn how to identify various woody invasive plants and help to remove them from the property.
Please dress appropriately for off-trail exploration and work. Long pants, closed-toed shoes, and gloves are recommended.
Free and open to all
W**d Wrangles are volunteer events hosted nationwide to control the invasive plants that are negatively impacting our public parks, green spaces, and natural areas. During these events, community members learn to identify and control through hands-on removal of these invasive plants, which are causing harm to our native plant communities.
