Palanderin talossa valmistaudutaan talveen. Kekrinäyttelyssä kerrotaan sadonkorjuujuhlaan valmistautumisesta ja kekriin liittyvistä uskomuksista. Perinnetapojen lisäksi tuodaan esiin myös sitä, miten 1800-luvun lopun säätyläistö suhtautui yliluonnollisiin ilmiöihin ja unien ja yön maailmaan.
Koko kekrin ajan Palanderin talon pihalla kävijöitä vahtii ympäristötaiteilija Tii Tuovisen kekripukkiteos, joka varmistaa, että kaikki kävijät ovat saaneet sadonkorjuutyönsä valmiiksi.

Kekri is an old Finnish harvest festival that took place in autumn, usually in late October or early November, depending on when the harvest was completed.
In the past, Kekri marked the end of the working year and it could take place at different times in different households, depending on when the harvest was finished. Originally, Kekri was the name of an ancient Karelian deity, protector of animals.
Step back in time and see how winter preparations were made in the past! The exhibition introduces the harvest festival traditions and beliefs associated with Kekri. In addition to rural customs, it also explores how the late 19th-century gentry viewed the supernatural, dreams, and the world of the night.
