Whatever

I am planning on launching Jones Park in Gulfport, sailing to Cat island and camping on West side of South split. Depending on winds I might go farther to Pelican Point or to middle of Chandeleur. Of course that would likely add days to trip.
I posted the start date as 10/23 but I intend to be checking forecasts ahead and might shift start back as much as a week if needed.
The average winds, end of October tend to be NE to SE and the island offers good protection for those. The North and South tips of Cat are mostly sand with the East- West middle lots of marsh.
I have had good cell service on northern parts and iffy farther south.
