We began our journey at Gulf Orchids just one week before Hurricane Helene and then came Hurricane Milton. With so much uncertainty, we pushed our grand opening to April and when that day finally arrived, we were overwhelmed by the tremendous support from our community. 💚
We were fortunate not to sustain enough damage to close our doors, but our hearts went out to our neighbors who weren’t as lucky. In the months that followed, we cleaned, rebuilt, and transformed our space into a home for all who visit while helping out those still recovering.
As our one-year anniversary approaches, we’re filled with gratitude. Many of our first customers came in to buy an orchid or plant as a gift for someone who had helped them during those challenging weeks. Today, many of our neighbors and local businesses are still displaced, and we’re reminded how strong and resilient this community truly is.
