Admiral Bayou Classic Cross Country Race

Hello my Bayou View neighbors!!! I’m Coach J. E. Lawrence with Gulfport High School Cross Country, and it is that time of year again. Our home cross country meet in the Bayou View Park will be Saturday September 20th. The parking near the playground area/tennis courts, Girls Scout Hut, and Jefferson Avenue (adjacent Girl Scout Hut) will be closed from 6am-12pm that day!! These areas are part of our course and runners must be able to have a clear path. As always, please do not set up or be in an area that is marked for the course (tape, cones, or arrows). Any area (including the playground) that is outside of the course markings are free to anyone, and I do encourage the community to come out and support all of the athletes from the different schools that will be participating. We currently have 6 teams registered and expect more as the school year begins. Thank you all for your continued support and patience with us! This meet has really grown over the past 3 years and teams have raved about the park setting for the course!
