NOVEMBER LUNCHTIME JAZZ: VASILIS XENOPOULOS & PAUL EDIS

Saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos and pianist Paul Edis began playing together 20 years ago, when they had both relocated to West London to study. Originally from Greece, Vasilis had just finished studying at Berklee College in the US, whilst Paul had moved South from the Northeast of England. In the intervening years they’ve played numerous gigs together, releasing their first album in 2016 to critical acclaim, with glowing reviews from around the world for their latest album too, released in 2024.

Join us for an hour’s jazz in the Cafe at the Guildford Institute, which boasts a baby grand piano as well as delicious food, as we welcome these wonderful musicians, plus Marianne Windham on bass.

Food is served from 12 to 2pm, followed by live jazz performance from 2pm to 3pm
