Our September presenter is Chris Leibner. Chris and his wife, Christie, live in Eustis where they operate a permaculture and native landscape design company, Wild Garden Co. Chris has degrees in microbiology and public health and is a biology professor at Lake-Sumter State College in Leesburg.
We will be digging into aspects of microbial metabolism that we rely on in the garden and on the farm including fermentation, building biomass and nitrogen fixation. You will take away a functional understanding of these processes and new ways to appreciate and apply them.
As always, please bring any abundance to share with your neighbors on the gift table. Plant starts, veggies, plant cuttings, seeds, tools or other permaculture items are all welcome on the gift table.
Upcoming events: the October Meeting will be open for small vendors. Bring a table and your homestead produced goods, plants & trees. Start preparing and talk to Paul at the September meeting to get on the list.
