A transplant to Oklahoma City after growing up in New Hampshire and Chicago, Matt Kirouac is an award-winning travel and food writer with bylines in Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, InsideHook, Thrillist, BBC, AFAR, Atlas Obscura, National Geographic, and 405 Magazine, where he serves as a senior writer. Part of what drew him to Oklahoma was a curiosity for the underrated and the sense of discovery in stereotyped places. Matt lives in Oklahoma City with his husband, Nathan, and their mini dachshund, Finn.
