Austen-tatious Cinema: Jane Austen's 250th Birthday

Double feature! Join us for a matinee screening of Emma (PG, 124 minutes), the witty and stylish adaptation of her beloved novel, starring Anya Taylor-Joy. Enjoy iced tea and proper English biscuits* as you watch the movie.

In the evening, the Library will be showing Pride & Prejudice (PG, 127 minutes), a sterling adaptation of Austen’s classic about love, marriage and class distinction in 18th-century England, starring Keira Knightley. Make a Regency era holiday craft, have a tasty treat, and enjoy a cup of tea* while you watch the film.

During both showings, enter a drawing for a Jane Austen tote bag, filled with books and Groton Public Library swag!
