Kayaking Downriver Wetlands

Join us for an advanced paddle tour through the lush wetlands of Downriver, where nature and adventure meet. Glide along Detroit River waters as expert guides share insights about local wildlife, native plants, and the vital role wetlands play in our ecosystem. Perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, this immersive experience offers a unique perspective on Downriver's hidden natural treasures. Paddle, learn, and reconnect with the wild!

This event is free and open to experienced Detroit River paddlers. All attendees must bring their own boat (hauls required) and be able to complete a 6-mile paddle on open waters! Pre-registration is required. Only 20 spots are available, sign up now.

In the chance of inclement weather, the back-up date is Sunday, August 10.

This event is in partnership with Friends of the Detroit River, Downriver Linked Greenways, and Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy.
