Silophone Session no. 17

A new year has begun! Which means that Silophone Session #17 is on its way! We are happy to announce that it will take place on January 31, 2026! What can you expect? Well, more multidisciplinary improv jamming! As always, dancers, musicians and spoken word artists are more than welcome to join in! 😀🎷🎻🎸🥁🎙️💃 Feel like hanging out? No problem! Our friends at @y2_groningen got you covered with drinks and snacks! Be sure to give the opening act some love by being there at 15.30h/3.30PM! Who’s going to be our opening act this time? That will remain a bit of a surprise, for now! Anyway, we’d love to see you on January 31st, 15.30h/3.30PM at Y2 Damsterdiep 299 in Groningen! 😁

So, what are the Silophone Sessions?

The Silophone Sessions are multidisciplinary improvisation jam sessions for musicians, dancers and spoken word artists, organized by violinist Renske van Donk and improv cellist Charles Belfor. Our goal: to bring together performers of many different styles, perspectives and influences at an artistic playground and to encourage them to interact with each other so that something entirely unique emerges on stage.
