The City of Griffin invites you to celebrate Public Power Week starting Monday, October 6th through Friday, October 10th! Visit City of Griffin Customer Service, 100 South Hill Street, from 8am-6pm daily for giveaways, a free kid zone, a Public Power Week enter to win credit, and more!
What is Public Power Week?
Public power utilities across the U.S. celebrate Public Power Week the first full week of October every year to help customers and stakeholders understand how they can better engage with their community-owned utility and benefit from all its offerings. American Public Power Association encourages all public power utilities to celebrate by creating fun, engaging opportunities to connect.
How To Celebrate Public Power Week With Us:
1. Celebrate With Us, Monster Detectives! Stop by City of Griffin Customer Service, 100 South Hill Street, each day from 8am-6pm during October 6th-10th to receive complimentary gifts and explore fun, monster themed resources that explain how you can save money on your utility bills. Plus, kids can enjoy free crafts! Gifts and crafts are available while supplies last.
2. Enter To Win Daily! All City of Griffin utility customers can ENTER TO WIN a Public Power Week Credit to be applied to their October bill. Stop by City of Griffin Customer Service, 100 South Hill Street, from 8am-6pm during October 6th-10th to enter the drawing each day. Three winners will be announced on October 13th. The first name drawn will receive $50, the second name drawn will receive $100, and the third name drawn will receive $150. Thanks to our Public Power Week Partners for making this possible! 3. Support Big E’s Foundation Jean Drive in honor of Eric Weems. Donate LIKE NEW jeans for elementary, middle, or high school students in honor of Eric Weems, a fallen lineman from the City of Griffin who loved giving back to his community. His family established Big E’s Foundation to continue his legacy by supporting causes close to his heart. For each pair of jeans donated during Public Power Week, you will receive an entry to win a Public Power Week credit, which will be applied to the electric portion of your October bill.
RULES: Account has to be current. Public Power Week Credit applies only to the electric portion of the October 2025 bill. One entry per day. Must come inside City of Griffin Customer Service, 100 South Hill Street, to enter from October 6th-10th. Can only win one credit per account.
