T Bay Tester

The T Bay Tester trail running meet up.
Up to 7 loops of the Cape Foulwind walkway & Kawatiri Coastal Trail 6.2 km loop.
Starting from the Cape Foulwind lighthouse car park.
First loop starts at 0800.
Travel the loop in either direction.
You just need to be in the starting corral (the grassy picnic area) on the hour ready for the next loop.
A warning whistle will sound at 2 minutes to the hour , 1 minute to the hour and on the hour to start the next loop.
The final loop #7 will give the finisher just over a marathon distance of 43.4km and approximately 800m elevation gain.
The 7th loop is a hot lap for those with the legs left for a big finish.

Mixing up a limited format of the backyard ultra with a trail run and the marathon.

A perfect opportunity for those entering upcoming ultras to test out nutrition, hydration, poles and other gear .
Ability to swap out gear on laps to give a good test.
Also good for pacing and walking when it counts.

A great social format.

This is not a formal event.
It is a trail running meet up.
All tracks will be open to all users.

Entirely self supported.
Ability to set up your own aid station at the starting area.
