Horses as teachers? Yes, please!
Join us for the very first session of Learning with Our Horse Relatives, a new youth program from Horses Heal Hearts in partnership with the Ihanktonwan Wowa’sake Program. This special trial session will give students ages 8–18 the chance to experience the power of equine facilitated learning—where horses help us explore trust, leadership, empathy, and connection.
What to Expect:
Gentle, hands-on activities with horses in a safe and welcoming environment
Guided discussions on how horses communicate, build trust, and form connections
Group reflections on how the lessons from our horse relatives can apply to friendships, family, and community
This is not a riding program, and no horse experience is required. Instead, participants will learn alongside horses on the ground through observation, grooming, and guided exercises.
Why This Session is Special:
This session is part of a larger vision to create ongoing opportunities for youth to learn and grow with horses. As our pilot workshop, we invite participants and families to share feedback to help shape future offerings. By joining, you will be part of building something new for our community.
