Facilitator Information:
Kelly Pfeiffer is a seasoned educational trainer with over 24 years of experience working across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. As a Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, she has taught the Positive Discipline curriculum to parents, childcare providers, and fellow trainers worldwide.
In her second role as founder of Go Interactive Training and a certified "Training from the Back of the Room" facilitator, Kelly helps educators, coaches, leaders, and trainers revolutionize how they teach adults. Drawing on brain science, adult learning theory, and interactive strategies, she empowers professionals to design engaging, learner-centered experiences that have lasting impact.
Workshop Description:
This is an online interactive and streamed video workshop designed for parent educators, teachers, therapists, childcare professionals and others who want an effective discipline approach. This method is based on Adlerian Psychology and integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging behaviors. Successful participants will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and will:
1. Learn research based and effective tools and techniques for teaching parents how to use discipline that is kind and firm at the same time (non-punitive, non-permissive)
2. Learn how to facilitate a parent class from the position of a non-expert.
3. Gain practice with experiential exercises that help parents go beyond intellectual understanding to be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children.
4. Learn how to use materials and activities in group settings, parenting classes, and individual work with families.
