GVL Connect - Sip, Learn, + Connect (SEPTEMBER)

This isn’t your typical networking event — it’s about breaking bread, breaking barriers, and building real community.

Each month, local business owners and a featured nonprofit will be in the spotlight, giving you the chance to grow your network while strengthening Greenville together.

We’ll also dive into a “binary” topic (like introvert vs. extrovert) and unpack the rich spectrum in between — not to debate, but to learn, grow, and connect. Let’s come together, support local business, uplift nonprofits, and find common ground.

When you arrive, you'll check in, grab a nametag, and head inside to grab a drink, snack on some charcuterie, and make some great connections.

Once everyone has arrived and had some time to snack, we'll ask everyone to take a seat. Event Hostess Joanna Reese will make some announcements, introduce the event sponsors, share about a local nonprofit, and lead a thought-inspiring discussion.

After this portion of the event, we'll invite everyone to grab some more food and make a couple more connections before wrapping up.

Joanna Reese initialy launched the GVL Connect event series in 2017 after relocating her marketing agency to Greenville from her hometown in Western NC. Nearly a decade later and a career change to real estate, Joanna is still a community connector, promoting small businesses, elevating nonprofits, and advocating for others through her role in local government. If you don't know where to look for answers to local needs, just ask Joanna. If she doesn't know the answer, she will find someone who can!

Ticket sales help cover the cost of the food and drinks, which typically includes meat, cheeses, dips, veggies, wine, beer, coffee, and more. Additional ticket proceeds are donated to the Non Profit of the Month.
