National Bird Week walk and talk

Become a citizen scientist and do bird surveys for National Bird Week from 20-26 October 2025. You can find more information and download the app at Aussie Bird Count – Aussie Bird Count 2025.

Meet at the pedestrian bridge, across Moonee Ponds Creek, from the carpark off Somerton Road, Greenvale.

We will be walking for 2.5 kilometers on relatively flat ground, following the Aboriginal cultural trail at Woodlands Historic Park. This is a wheelchair and pram accessible gravel track.

Wear good walking shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather.

Bring along your own binoculars, or Council has a few you could borrow for the morning. There should be some good photo opportunities if you wanted to bring your camera.

Please bring your own drink bottle.
