Dining with Diabetes

Dining With Diabetes is a special educational and community-focused event designed to support individuals living with diabetes and those interested in learning more about managing blood sugar through healthy lifestyle choices. This event is primarily geared toward adults 65 years and older, but all adults ages 18 and up are welcome to attend. The event will be hosted at the Greenup UK Extension Office.

Participants will hear from guest speakers, including a doctor and individuals living with diabetes who will share their personal stories, challenges, and successes. These real-life experiences provide encouragement, insight, and practical takeaways for daily living with diabetes.

Attendees will also have access to A1c screenings provided by UK King’s Daughters, along with opportunities for nutrition education led by a registered dietitian. The evening will include a delicious, diabetes-friendly three-course meal, demonstrating how balanced, enjoyable meals can fit into a healthy lifestyle.

This event offers education, inspiration, and connection in a supportive setting, empowering participants with tools and knowledge to take charge of their health while still enjoying good food.
