So we are going to take over the main building at one of my favorite places; Lacawac Sanctuary. The price depends on how many sign up. If only 5 people come then it will be about $500 + one meal for the 5 of us while there. If 10 people sign up then it is 1 meal for 10 people and about $250. I will keep people updated as this changes but I won't schedule unless we have at least 5 people.
We will have a huge kitchen/pantry that will be shared between us. Each of us shall be responsible for providing one meal to the group from the following:
Thursday; late night snacks
Friday; Breakfast, snacks for the day, and Dinner
Saturday; Breakfast, snacks for the day, and Dinner
Sunday: Breakfast
I will cover the late night snacks on Thursday and whatever meals aren't covered by guests.
In addition to snack foods of questionable health I will bring 2nd edition campaign books, blank character sheets, and the campaign materials for the weekend. As you play you will fill in what you figure out about your character. This campaign will be short, fun, and likely a bit silly. There will also likely be board games of various types for indulging in when the entire party is not available.
My current plan is as follows but suggestions are welcome:
Thursday we will get in, probably fairly late although I plan to aim for 6pm myself. As each person arrives they will choose a bedroom from the 9 in the house. Around 8pm we will get together, I'll go over rules of the property and what is there with everyone. We will get some sleep or wander as each person chooses. There are several on campus trails and a beautiful lake...only one rule...DO NOT GO IN THE LAKE. Canoeing is permitted under specific circumstances we can discuss.
Friday and Saturday we will get up "early" meaning when the smell of food tantalizes us to get out of bed; for those that stay in bed past 9:30pm creative and silly methods will be invented to cause them to join us. Around 10:00 we will gather in the main room, lay out snacks, take character sheets, and begin an adventure...which we will play through the day and into the night. Occasional breaks will be taken for snacks, food, walking, bathroom, Dinner, and other necessities as well...necessary.
Sunday we will again rise, hopefully to the scents of deliciousness wafting from the kitchen, eat, perhaps play a board game or two (I am going to try to get/borrow "Red Dragon Inn" for obvious reasons), and head home. A stopping place for lunch near one of my favorite waterfalls will be suggested but we shall all head back at our own pace.
