Sharing a show for the first time, Greensboro bands The Difficulties and Lorena Guillén Tango Ensemble bring highly eclectic sounds to The Crown.
The Difficulties is an anti-meta, neo-beat, electronic garage gospel band that brings laptop wizardry together with a whacked-out bass_gal, a saxophonist/chamber-music-rockstar, and an ironist wordsmith. All joking aside, the band is truly impossible to categorize, featuring spoken word and music, feats of electronica, beautiful vocal lines, and a one-of-a-kind musical vision.
A Grand Prize winner in the NC Folk Festival, the Tango Ensemble combines original and standard tangos in a pan-Latin fusion style flavored by jazz, classical and contemporary music, and other world and popular music styles. LGTE has toured internationally, and been featured on many festivals, series, broadcasts and more.
