Dunoon Business Networking Event

At the recent meeting in Cruive it was thought that a monthly drop in to connect and strengthen all of our businesses was needed. This first event will have brief introductions from myself as the initial host, talking about the bunkhouse project and what we hope to offer, followed by brief introductions from Business Gateway & the Dunoon Community Development Trust regarding the services they can provide. We hope BID will also be in attendance.
We would love attendees from different business sectors in Dunoon such as retail, hospitality, manufacturing and service providers, and at this first meeting we would like people filling post it notes with ideas to support businesses in our town. At the second meeting we’ll bring back the core ideas that are actionable and see what we can achieve from the list! For instance in the retail sector, could shopkeepers coordinate hours more? Could we promote self employed shop workers to support retail outlets run by one person? Better communication between shops? Produce a map of independent retailers and places of interest for tourists? Lots to think about, but more importantly, act on as a group.
