About the Workshop
In this colorful and creative class, kids will explore the art of mosaics using cut and torn pieces of paper to design their own vibrant masterpieces. They’ll learn about patterns, shapes, and color while developing fine motor skills and expressing their unique artistic style!
About the Instructor
Hi, I’m Rhonda and I am probably best labeled as a creative. I love making things!! Twenty five years ago a dear friend took me to a church to see an “idea” that she wanted to see implemented at our church. We visited South Haven Baptist Church and saw the many mosaics they had on display that had been created by children during their Bible school program. One look and I was hooked! This summer we will make our twenty fourth mosaic, we missed a year during their pandemic. Over the years the kids have constructed various mosaics out of many different mediums, egg shells, legos, toys, and many more! Each year has a different medium to work with. All of these mosaics are lining the hallways of Eudora Baptist Church. When I’m not guiding children in mosaic making, I can be found creating “something “. I enjoy arts and crafts of all kinds and also have a deep love of traveling, photography and spoiling grandkids! I hope to instill a love of making something out of something else in those that I teach.
