What to expect
"Participants will delve into the essential elements of theatre direction, including script analysis, working effectively with actors to build compelling characters, staging techniques, and developing a unique directorial concept. You'll gain practical experience through hands-on exercises and opportunities to direct scenes or short pieces."

This is a one-day, four-hour workshop with an hour break for lunch.
The workshop will be 10:00am-3:00 on Saturday, August 30th at the Capitol.

This workshop will be taught by David Horton, Executive Director of the Capitol Theatre of Greeneville. David has over 40 years of experience in Theatre and performance. Having directed over 75 productions David has numerous skills, tips, and advice for learning and perfecting the role of director.
