Understanding Cancer: Causes, Risks, and Realities

Join us at the Greene Public Library on Thursday, November 13th at 7 PM for an important community program with Dr. Shawn Ellerbroek, Otto Professor in Chemistry and Professor of Biochemistry at Wartburg College.

Dr. Ellerbroek will share insights on rising cancer rates in Iowa and Butler County, helping us better understand the causes, risks, and realities of this complex disease.

Dr. Ellerbroek holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Research from Northwestern University and has published extensively in the field, with a special focus on ovarian cancer metastasis. He is also an active member of the Iowa Cancer Consortium and collaborates with the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.

All are welcome to attend this free event and learn from one of Iowa’s leading cancer researchers.
