The University Orchestra, conducted by Orcenith Smith, opens DePauw's 141st concert season on Sept. 14 at the Green Center for the Performing Arts. Featured among the works on the program will be Three Sketches of Unblemished Earth, a lyrical exploration of nature by Los Angeles-based composer Jordan Jinosko. Inspired by her experiences hiking the Appalachian Trail, the composition creates a vivid portrait of iconic American landscapes through music.
