If you were around during SoFlo’s hey-days for Country back from 1985 to 2005, you probably remember with great fondness places like Doda’s, Dance Connection, Davie Junction, Desperado’s, Pure Country, Southern Star, Smokin Joes, Country Nights, Round-Up, and a dozen more. Well, every third Friday of each month (No party in October), we are going to have a Country Dance Reunion to celebrate those days. Everyone’s invited to be a part of this as we go down memory lane. Bring pictures, dress the part if you’re up for it, we’ll supply the great energy & amazing music, but you make sure to invite all your dance friends from back then (and any dance friends you've made since then), because friendships are what made those times so amazing!
KICK-OFF COUNTRY REUNION -KICK-OFF EVENT!!!
Friday, Sept 19th (and then EVERY 3rd Friday start Nov 21st)
7pm to 7:45pm - Barn Dance & El Paso Class
7:45pm to 8:30pm - West Coast Swing Class
8:30pm to 11pm - Country Reunion Dance Party!
$20 per person (using cash).
Our country mix is an 1/3 Country 2-step, 1/5
West Coast Swing, and the remainder is a variety
of other popular country dances. At least 2/3s of all
music will be tunes that were played back in the
day at all our favorite country hang-outs!
