Double Take is a two piece group that performs like a five piece group. They are no doubt one of the best if not the best two piece group in the Green Valley Sahuarita area.
This two piece group is led by two outstanding musicians with a large local following. They are Ken Daulton and Chelsee Hicks
Ken Daulton moved to Green Valley in southern Arizona back in 2017. He grew up in Leominster, Mass. a small town about 35 miles west of Boston. For over 45 years, Double Take performed in night clubs and other venues all over the N.E. area as a dance band featuring a dynamic horn section. Ken also performs with the band Open Road and fills in with other bands when needed.
Chelsee Hicks was born in Tucson, Arizona but grew up in the 1.1-square-mile town of Neodesha, Kansas. She returned to the desert and graduated from the University of Arizona summa cum laude. An old soul indeed, Chelsee got her start singing vintage music with the touring trio, The Manhattan Dolls. She sings regularly with groups such as popular cover band 80s and Gentlemen and jazz trio Blue Dream.
This duo are one of the greatest performers at the G.V. Elks. They always pack the house play solid danceable music with two outstanding vocalists. You'll need to come early for good seats to enjoy their performance. The Elks is a members only organization, but don't fret about that. I can sign in anyone who wants to enjoy the evening. All I need is your full name and I'll do the rest. You'll need to pay a $5 guest fee as you enter at the Greeter's desk, but that's small change to hear this group.
