Maple Sugar Magic

Join us on Saturday, March 7th for “Maple Sugar Magic”. To limit crowd size, we will offer two demonstrations beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. This program explores the wonder of Maple Sugaring time, now in our 37th year at Green Lane Park. We will demonstrate tree-tapping and sap gathering, the boiling of sap to make syrup, and learn about the discovery of maple sugar dating back to the 1500’s. Of course there will be taste-testing as well! Pure Pennsylvania maple syrup, candy and cream will be available for sale. The program is free, and suitable for all ages. Meet at Hill Road Day Use Area (2821 Hill Road, Green Lane, PA 18054).
