📢 Critical City Council Meeting for Short-Term Rental Owners & Supporters
Over the past two meetings, our strong turnout, data-driven messaging, unified approach, and powerful personal stories helped secure two major victories:
1) City Council removed the 7-day minimum at their last meeting
2) Plan Commission removed the 180-day cap from their recommendation this week
Because of our collective work & cooperation, the proposed STR ordinance is now moving to City Council without the two most damaging restrictions. 🙌 This is a huge step forward — but we still need to carry this across the finish line.
On Tuesday, December 2nd, City Council will finalize the proposed ordinance and hold its first vote on adopting it. During this meeting, they can make any changes they choose and then vote on whether to approve that version.
đź“… When: TUESDAY 12/2, 6:00 PM
📍 Where: City Hall, Room 203
âť“ What: City Council finalizes the ordinance language and takes its first official vote on the proposed STR ordinance
âť“ Why it matters:
Even though two major restrictions were removed on the way to this point, City Council can still change anything in the ordinance during this meeting — including bringing back removed restrictions. We need a strong, united presence to protect the progress we’ve made.
🎬 Action:
Please save the date and plan to attend — in person if possible, virtually if not.
We’ll share clear guidance early next week on how to prepare and what our coordinated plan will be for this meeting!
📞 Virtual Attendance:
A Zoom link will be posted the day of the meeting and pinned in the comments.
Thank you all for showing up time and time again — let’s protect our progress and stay united on December 2nd. 💪
